Lady Marmalade, which has been a Queen East mainstay since opening in 2009, announced it's moving to new digs at Broadview and Dundas next spring.
Husband and wife owners David Cherry and Natalia Simachkevitch have partnered with acclaimed Canadian architect Omar Gandhi to dream up the design on the new space in East Chinatown.
The new Lady Marmalade will be a "bright and airy dining space, walled with greenery and washed in natural light," according to the announcement.
Hungry brunchers need not worry: Lady Marmalade’s menu and hours will remain unchanged.
“We feel very lucky that we have found a perfect new home just around the corner, and can continue to host our family and friends, while being a part of the evolution of Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood” Simachkevitch says. “Seeing our vision come to life through Omar Gandhi is incredibly exciting."
Lady Marmalade is outrageously popular for its all-day-brunch menu, so much so that it regularly sees lineups down the block. Question is: Will the crowds follow to the new location?
Stay tuned for the launch of its new home at 265 Broadview Ave. in spring 2018.
