Corktown residents now have a new farmers' market to call their own for fresh, local produce.

Underpass Park, one of Toronto's best examples of creativity in public realm, will be hosting the weekly market starting July 20.

Underpass Park Farmers' Market will take place every Thursday at 3 p.m. all summer and into fall until Oct. 19.

Vendors include Clearwater Farms, Field Sparrow Farms, Sparkplug Coffee, St. John's Bakery and Stanners Vineyards selling fresh produce, baked goods and more.

The market is being organized by the Corktown Residents & Business Association and Living Toronto.

It’s only 1.05 hectares in size, but Underpass Park has made a big splash for its innovative reclamation of derelict land beneath the Eastern Ave., Richmond and Adelaide St. overpasses. The space features a skateboard park and some of the city's best street art.
