As Toronto Bike Share begins its long-awaited expansion, users can look forward to many new stations including a few in the city's east end.

The Toronto Parking Authority, which manages the program, and Metrolinx have teamed up to oversee a $4.9-million expansion that will double the number of bicycles at stations. In total, 1,000 new bikes and 120 new stations will be on the ground by July 11.

While the expansion is a positive step, the program needs to grow further into areas of the east end currently underserved by the system. Take a look at the map below to check out the new stations getting up and running on the east side.
