Bike repair stands launching at Toronto subway stations

TTC bike repair

Special bike repair stations are coming to select Toronto subway stations by the end of September as part of a new initiative launched by the TTC.

The repair stand — hard to miss in the TTC's signature bright red — will include most tools needed to fix minor issues with bicycles, including wrenches, Allen keys, screwdrivers, an air pump and wheel chock. All equipment will be secured with steel cables.

The TTC chose to pilot the program initially at 10 stations with a promise to provide more convenience to cyclists. Bathurst, Davisville, Downsview, Dupont, Finch, Keele, Kennedy, Kipling, Pape and Spadina stations will be the first stations to have the new repair stops. Within a year, all stations will receive the repair stops based on the results of customer feedback, the TTC said in a Twtter statement.
