Urban House Cafe set to reopen at Queen and Broadview
/When Urban House Cafe shuttered last fall, it left a lot of regulars without a fixture in Toronto's Yonge and Wellesley neighbourhood.
Their loss is the east end's gain, however, as the divey spot for all manner of cheap and cheerful is set to reopen at Queen and Broadview, according to Daily Hive.
Urban House Cafe is known for its cheap-eats menu with all-day breakfasts, pub grub and standards like pastas and pad thai. A solid selection of taps ringing in around $5 for pints and not much more than double that for pitchers, including sangria.
One Yelp review calls it like it is: "It's not the most amazing place ever, but I give it 5 stars because it's reliable, familiar, cheap, quaint and, considering it's a dive bar, won't get you sick. Unless you drink too much. Can't help you then."
Hopefully they bring their affordable offerings east.
Urban House Cafe is launching at 718 Queen St. E.
