The cheap drinks and dive den of Bill Hicks Bar have been swapped for laughs and live standup.

The Corner Comedy Club has moved into the minuscule space of what was once a second floor apartment on Queen St. East.

"This is a standup comedy club which prides itself in exposing Toronto’s rich pool of standup comedians," says owner Joe Tuccitto.

The Corner Comedy Club East has shows every Friday and Saturday with 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. start times. All shows are $15.

This is the second location for the comedy club with its original space at 163 John St.

The Corner Comedy Club is now open at 946 Queen St. E. Check out thecornercomedy.com for tickets and more info.
