Table 17 closing down after seven years

After seven years on Queen St. E, Table 17 is pulling the plug on its Riverside bistro. July 11 will be the restaurant's last service.

A local hot spot and east side culinary destination, Table 17's focus on a seasonal menu and creative cocktails helped pave the way for the recent wave of eateries now shaping the neighbourhood.

In a touching note posted to the restaurant's website and social accounts, Table 17 owners say thank you to staff, regulars and the neighbourhood for support in growing the business since its opening in 2008.

The owners say their other local spots — Ascari Enoteca and Hi-Lo Bar — will continue on as usual, and as the page turns on Table 17, there is a "very exciting new project for the future." Plans are underway and will be shared out in the coming months.

If you're looking to get in on one last plate of Table 17's signature steak frites, it’s business as usual until July 11.
