Radical Road Brewing Co. launches brewery and taproom in Leslieville
/In the works since last winter, Radical Road Brewing Co. is the latest craft brewery and taproom to set up shop on Toronto's east side.
The heads behind Radical Road, Simon Da Costa and Jon Hodd, had been operating as a side project of Black Oak Brewery for the last three years before breaking off to work on the permanent Leslieville location.
Three house beers are available for the remainder of summer: Shoreline Saison, Yuzu Pale Ale and Slingshot California Common.
Radical Road also offers a seasonal menu of snacks and shared plates, plus a handful of mains and dessert. Shareables include a charcuterie and cheese board, as well as a sausage board, along with jerk chicken drums and Jamaican curried lamb ribs. BBQ braised beef, cold-smoked roasted half chicken and gnocchi with wild mushroom ragout are a few of the featured mains.
Radical Road is planning to open a bottle shop by October. Until then, you'll need to pull up a seat at the bar to get a taste on tap.
