Proposed Leslieville mural draws criticism
/The Leslieville BIA has proposed a new mural to replace the existing Alexander Muir wall at Queen and Jones. Above is a mock-up of the proposed design done by local artist Jim Thierry Bravo. Feedback on the BIA's Facebook page has sparked plenty of controversy.
The biggest criticism is that the new design doesn't represent the current values or vibrant character of the changing neighbourhood. Others say they don't want to replace the Alexander Muir wall, which many believe to be an iconic symbol of Leslieville.
