Outdoor skating rinks opening across Toronto

More than half of Toronto's skating rinks will open this Saturday, Nov. 25, with the remaining rinks ready by Dec. 2, weather permitting.

Toronto will open 35 outdoor rinks as part of the first wave and that includes local pads at Monarch Park, Withrow Park, Kew Gardens as well as both the covered rink and skating trail at Greenwood Park. The rink at Jimmie Simpson Park will open the following weekend.

The rink at Riverdale Park East, which was closed last season due to park infrastructure upgrades, is set to reopen January 2018.

General hours of operation for city-run outdoor rinks are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. Hours vary at each location so to help plan for your skating visit, and for more information on the rinks in operation this winter, including maps, locations, schedules and programs, check out the City of Toronto's website

Rinks will remain open until late March as long as the weather cooperates.
