Get your Wet-Naps ready, people. Toronto's east end just got a lot crunchier and stickier with the (soft) opening of Kaboom Chicken in Riverside.

After a successful run as a pop-up eatery serving up Korean-style street food., Kaboom Chicken is putting down roots in new digs at Queen and Broadview.

Known for its Korean twist on the American classic fried chicken, fans are drawn to the super crispy and intensely flavoured outer shell, which is fried and candy-coated in a sweet chili glaze. Grab two pieces for $10 served with fries and slaw. However, it's best paired with bubble waffle, a Korean street food favourite, for $12.

The menu at Kaboom go beyond fried chicken, though. The snackery also dishes out braised galbi ($10), a Korean-style marinated and grilled steak, as well as a beef and pork belly tacos ($5 each) and a chicken sandwich ($10) with crispy cheese strips and drizzled in gochujang mayo. The Ramen FC Burger is anchored by boneless chicken thigh with bibimbap toppings served between two crispy ramen buns.

Sides include fries, taro chips and half/full corn dressed with feta, carrots and zucchini.

Kaboom Chicken is in a soft launch phase, and plans to open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 722 Queen St. E. Visit kaboomchicken.com for more info and to check out the menu.
