Planned construction at Toronto's Fairmount Park is forcing its popular farmers' market to move to temporary new digs.

According to the Beach Mirror, the plan is to relocate the displaced Fairmount Park Farmers Market to Greenwood Park for the 2017 season.

Five years running, the market is popular for its farm-fresh produce and prepared local and seasonal food. No word yet on how the move will affect vendors and timing, as the market was held Wednesdays from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Construction at Fairmount Park, including upgrades to the sports field, wading pool and tennis courts, will begin in May and continue through the fall.
