District 28 relaunches with fresh design, new chef
/District 28 has been flying under the radar on Logan St. for a few years, a low-key cafe in Leslieville despite its massive 23,000 square-foot event space. That's all about to change as the so-called bar bistro is relaunching with an overhaul on its design, and a new chef that's bringing in an updated menu.
Formerly known for its usual cafe offering of coffee, pastries and sandwiches, District 28 is launching full spreads of breakfast and lunch.
Morning bites include the likes of muffins and croissants right through to huevos rancheros, baked eggs benedict and an avocado brie sandwich. For lunch there's a pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, a beef burgers, chicken pesto main, a couple of salads — house and kale caesar — and also your choice of either a quarter or half rotisserie chicken.
The bistro is just one part of four different streams of District 28's business, which also includes events, catering and entertainment.
District 28 is having a launch party on April 14. Check out details on our events page here.
