Common Sort moves its vintage wares into new Riverside shop
/Common Sort, Riverside’s home to curated second-hand clothes and accessories, has also moved locations from 800 Queen St. East (where it called home for over 11 years) to just a few blocks west at 760 Queen St. East. The space was previously occupied by the eclectic, Riverside Trading Company (yes, the store that had a Bitcoin vending machine is now gone).
Common Sort is not your typical consignment store. With a particularly keen eye for stylish old and new fashions, and an arrangement whereby the original owner gets their choice of 50% of the sale proceeds as in-store credit, or 25% in cash, the shop has made a name for itself as a go-to location for style finds that feel one-of-a-kind.
If you are interesting in selling some of your more impressive old clothes, check out their selling guide, and as they mention, “please don’t take offence” if your clothing is not chosen. They are picky for a reason, and it helps create a consistent end product.
Common Sort also has locations in Parkdale and in the Annex. Visit commonsort.com for more.
