Bodega Henriette has opened its doors in Toronto's Upper Beaches neighbourhood.

The all-day concept brings a touch of grocery convenience and cafe leisure to the corner space at Gerrard St. E and Bowmore Rd.

Owner Nicole Cheung of Betty’s and Pacific Junction Hotel on King St. E and Eulalie’s Corner Store in Little India, has flipped the space to offer a bit of everything — literally. Swing by for a coffee or pint, bread and eggs or a full-on dinner and drinks.

Bodega Henriette is a mini market stocked with grocery essentials — milk, eggs, baguettes and fresh produce. Coffee and fresh pastries are the order of the mornings, sandwiches are served over lunch and a dinner menu with cocktails, craft beer and wine sets the mood of the space come evening.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., complete with French toast, waffle benedict, smoked salmon croissant, omelettes and a BBQ peameal sandwich. There's also two $6 kids items on offer.

Its name is taken from the Spanish word bodega, which is commonly used in New York City to refer to small corner stores and mini marts selling grocery essentials, snacks, drinks, cigarettes and newspapers.

Bodega Henriette is now open at 1801 Gerrard St. E. Hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Give them a follow on Instagram.
