Toronto Flower Market set for June edition

The June date of the Toronto Flower Market, the city’s first outdoor flower and plant market, will take place Saturday, June 13.

After two popular seasons on Queen West, the Toronto Flower Market has moved east to Riverside for its 2015 series.

The market will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Toyota dealership at 659 Queen St. E., between the DVP and Broadview Ave.

The Toronto Flower Market bills itself as celebrating locally grown flowers, the growers that cultivate them and the florists that style them. More than a dozen participating vendors have signed on to work with the market — including Carl&Rose, Pink Twig, La Primavera Farms — and bring stylish blooms to the neighbourhood.

This second edition will feature peonies as well as Flower Market picnic blankets and a Gardens of Toronto map.

The Toronto Flower Market is also set for July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and Oct. 10.
