The Curzon turned Rock Lobster turned PO Box 1192 up for sale on Craigslist
/The business in the corner building at Queen and Curzon has had so many makeovers in recent years it's hard to keep up with. And now it's for sale... on Craigslist of all places.
Some call it cursed. Others call it utter mismanagement. Either way, restaurant and bar concepts in the historic building have struggled to survive in Leslieville.
It's something of a head-scratcher. What was once a general store and post office, the free-standing building is full of character with a restored brick exterior and renovated interior.
It's been a bar, a restaurant and bar and then back to a bar. But The Curzon, Rock Lobster and, most recently, the short-lived P.O. Box 1192 all failed to make a go of the coveted space.
According to the listing, the turn-key business is covers a space of 1,500 square feet including the main floor and basement. It comes with a commercial kitchen, walk-in cooler and two washrooms. The liquor license covers inside and two outdoor patio spaces. No price is listed.
