RAWspace, a jewellery studio, showroom and pop-up shop, recently moved from The Beaches to open a new space on Carlaw Ave. in Leslieville.

Boasting a fully equipped eight-bench jewellery studio, the space offers bench rentals for the qualified jeweller or workshops for beginners and those curious about making jewellery. They also offer a variety of project-based jewellery and craft workshops like weaving and drawing.

RAWspace doubles as a showroom for Toronto-based jewellery brand, ALYSHAALEX, as well as showcasing and selling work by 40+ selected talented Canadian designers in many different industries including jewellery, glass, ceramics, wood, paper goods, leather, textiles, home decor and more.

The location will also be hosting pop-up events for artists, designers and makers who are interested in renting space the shop to promote and sell their work in a storefront setting.

RAWspace is owned and operated by mother-daughter duo Rochelle Alexandroff and Alysha Alexandroff-Appleton, both passionate advocates of handmade-in-Canada products and the promotion of Canadian designers.

RAWspace is located at 270 Carlaw Avenue, unit #102. They're open Wednesday to Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.ish, and Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.ish. Visit rawspace.info for more information, classes and rates.
