Leslieville’s landmark mural gets a facelift
/Out with the old, in with the new. The facelift of the landmark Leslieville mural has been officially unveiled.
Toronto artist Elicser Elliot designed and painted the new mural, which pays homage to the neighbourhood’s past, present and future by depicting a typical Leslievillian contemplating the future while resting under a giant maple tree.
The public artwork replaces a deteriorated Alexander Muir mural that had long graced the west-facing wall at the northeast corner of Queen St. E and Jones Ave.
