Six local shop picks for dad this Father's Day

He raised you, he taught you, he made you a man. Or, he's your boyfriend or husband. In any case, the least you can do is get your father (or the dude in your life) something cool.

Dad can be a tough guy to buy for, and he's not always forthcoming with the list of things he'd really like to open on Father's Day. Here are five local picks to please the patriarch in your life, all gifts found within the neighbourhood.

CANNONBALL LAGER FROM LEFT FIELD BREWERY

Dads and beer is a winning combination. Pick up Left Field's new one-off brew, inspired by the legendary baseball talent of Ed “Cannonball” Crane who, on one occasion, pitched back-to-back complete games and amazingly, also hit the game-winning home run. He led the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball club to their first international league pennant. Sounds like a winner to us.
