A major upgrade is about to get underway at Evergreen Brick Works that will see a transformation of one of its biggest buildings.

The 53,000-square-foot kiln building begins redevelopment March 1 and, according to Evergreen, it will become a gathering place for interactive workshops and community programs that focus on working collaboratively to imagine and design flourishing cities of the future.

The building will include a gallery and meeting spaces.

The building's south section will reopen March 31 when construction shifts to the north section through the end of the year.
