District 28 WorkSpaces expands its shared office and studio environment

It might seem romantic to work out of your local cafe but there’s only so much unreliable Wi-Fi, noisy distractions and schlepping your stuff around you can take and still be productive.

That's why co-working spaces are a pure genius — whether you’re a freelancer, entrepreneur or just an industrious hustler who likes to get shit done.

Leslieville’s District 28 houses modern co-working, production and event spaces inside an 18,000 square-foot multi-media facility on Logan Ave.

Its WorkSpaces have landed on many of Toronto’s best-of lists — and for good reason. The amenities available in the communal work area are not only first-class but also affordable for creatives and entrepreneurs looking for a productive environment.

High-speed internet, parking, mailing address and free coffee, plus boardroom, meeting room and studio time are just a few of the benefits. And with 24-7 member access, you can virtually move in and make it your home away from home.

To add to its growth as a destination for motivated individuals, District 28 recently expanded with an extra 1,000 square feet of workspace and 30 desks.

“In addition to the new work space, we brought in a new community manager to host some great events for our members,” says Samuel Gluck, District 28 marketing manager. “We have some great events planned including movie nights in our screening room, ping pong tournaments and a trivia night with cool prizes.”

Customized for different needs and interests, District 28 provides a platform to do your best, most inspired work. The space offers five membership plans that vary in price and level of access to facilities. A basic package runs $90/month for common area access, hot desks are $195/month, a creative package for those looking for occasional studio space is $200/month, dedicated desks are priced at $350/month and, finally, private offices start at $1,100/month.

If you're unsure of which plan suits your needs, District 28 will let you trial the space for a week for free to ensure it’s the right fit for all prospective members. The best part — other than free coffee — is that all plans are completely flexible, meaning that rather than getting locked into a long-term contract, only a month-to-month commitment is required.

The other really great thing about nabbing a workspace at District 28 is that it opens up access to all of the other state-of-the-art facilities and beautiful comforts of the massive complex including a 30-seat 4K screening room and 4K edit suites.

The Bar Bistro is part cafe and lounge, and it serves up breakfast and an all-day menu of salads, sandwiches and healthy bowls.
