Danforth Brewery joins ranks of Toronto's east end beer scene
/A new contract brewery that shares its namesake with Toronto's Danforth neighbourhood is the latest addition to the growing east side beer scene.
Danforth Brewery, launched by east end resident Ed Carter, has released its first beer, Viaduct IPA. A tribute the iconic Prince Edward Viaduct, Viaduct, according to the brewery, is a "meticulously crafted West Coast IPA. Brewed with medium bitterness and aromas of citrus and pine, it showcases the hop-forward style of beer that was pioneered by craft brewers in the 1980s, and is savoured by discerning beer drinkers to this day."
Danforth Brewery aims to celebrate the past and present of the east end.
"Our mission is to produce high quality, hand-crafted ales including interpretations of classic beer styles, and experimental one-offs to contribute to the future of the Danforth one delicious hand-crafted ale at a time."
Danforth Viaduct IPA is available now on draught and in cans at select bars including the Only Cafe, Shore Leave and The Dylan Bar. For more info, check out danforthbrewery.com and visit them on Facebook and Twitter.
