Brett's Ice Cream now scooping frozen treats on Queen East

Just when you though the neighbourhood couldn't get any sweeter, another ice cream shop has arrived in time for summer. 

Brett's Ice Cream has opened across from Woodbine Park at Queen East and Kingston Rd.

Owner Brett Young says the shop serves up scoops, sundaes and milkshakes.

"The ice cream is 100% natural, carrageenan-free, handcrafted and made with jersey milk from Millers Dairy in Creemore, Ontario," Young says.

With 28 flavours in rotation, serving 16 at a time — including gluten-free and vegan options — there will be a new feature flavour every week. 

Some of the highlight varieties include wild blueberry lavender, obscene brownie, melon prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberry. 

The shop also pours iced teas, coffees, smoothies and handcrafted sodas. 

To kick things off, Brett's will be giving out free scoop cards to all visitors on launch day that they can redeem on their next visit.
