Toronto Beer Week, a local celebration of all things craft beer, kicks off Sept. 16 with events around the city.

The suds showcase features tap takeovers, brewery tours, food and beer pairings and pub crawls. Here are the top events to check out in the east end during Toronto Beer Week 2016.

4TH ANNUAL PYJAMA PARTY

It’s a full moon Party this year at Sauce on the Danforth with brew specials, movies, music, late-night snacks & more. Extended hours in full swing — the bar is serving until 4 a.m. Wear your PJs so you just have to crawl into bed when you get home.

NICKEL BROOK BREWING TAP TAKEOVER AT DYLAN BAR

Nickel Brook will be taking over Dylan Bar, featuring 10 different brews, plus swag and giveaways from 6 p.m. onward on Sept. 16.

BEAU'S SEASONAL PLEASURES TAP TAKEOVER AT HI-LO BAR

Beau’s take the taps at Hi-Lo Bar on Sept. 17 with their Seasonal Pleasure brews. Brad McGoey will play two sets of your rock 'n' roll favourites. One dollar of all draft beer will be donated to the Regent Park School of Music.

TORONTO BEER WEEK DANFORTH PUB CRAWL

The annual Danforth Pub Crawl for Toronto Beer Week is back, and includes a free Craft Beer Passport. Join reps from Great Lakes Brewery, Left Field and Side Launch as they lead a tour of the best craft beer bars along the Danforth. Pints are pay-as-you-go along the way.

MILL STREET BREWERY OPEN HOUSE

Mill Street is throwing an open house Sept 17 and 18 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with brewery tours and beer sampling from a seasonal cask.

TOUR OF LEFT FIELD BREWERY

Take in a free brewery tour at Left Field Brewery starting at 6 p.m. daily from Sept. 19 to 22. Learn more about our brewery, how it came to be and how its beer is made. 

BEAU'S 10TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AT ONLY CAFE

Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. has blazed new trails since it began 10 years ago, and The Only is celebrating the DIY, employee-owned brewery with a tap feature that will include their 5,000th batch of beer. Sept. 19, 6:00 p.m.

GLB X RAINHARD TAP TAKEOVER AT THE WREN

Great Lakes Brewery and Rainhard Brewery are teaming up to take over the taps at The Wren on Sept. 20 starting at 4 p.m.. Each brewery will split the taps, including a special collaboration beer that all parties will brew.

BEAU'S OKTOBERFEST DINNER AT BROOKLYN TAVERN

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Brooklyn Tavern with Steve Beauchesne, co-founder of Beau’s. Chef Dru Smith presents a five-course Bavarian-inspired tasting menu matched with carefully selected Beau’s beers. Limited tickets are $55, email cindy@brooklyntavern.ca to reserve.

SIDE LAUNCH $5 PINT NIGHT AT HI-LO BAR
